Comments / Research Needs:
Our capture data and acoustic detection data indicate that Rufous-throated Solitaires make altitudinal / seasonal migrations between
breeding and non-breeding areas: we don’t detect this species in Windsor after the second week of May through the third week of September.
CPs (n=2) recorded in early May.
BPs not detected in Windsor.
JUV pictured above was captured on 21-October-2005.
We suspect the species has a Pre-Alternate Moult, but larger sample sizes are needed.
