JAMAICAN MASKED FROG
Eleutherodactylus luteolus

Catadupa Calling Vigor Index (CVI)
Patterns of North, Central & South Distributions

Passive acoustic "frog logger" nocturnal surveys:
North = 20 survey points
Central = 13 survey points
South = 6 survey points

Analyses of recordings commenced 15 minutes after sunset.
The first 180 minutes were divided into discrete 5-minute intervals.
"Presence detected" was scored for each interval as a binomial "yes" or "no",
for a maximum CVI score of 36.

Mapped points show the average CVI of each geographic region,
for recordings collected in July 2014.

As described by Schwartz and Fowler (1973), the call of E. luteolus is a single slight rising whistle:
we were pleased to have as many detections as we did of this quiet species.
